Your.Friends' chef presents you with a unique experience that can be easily
described as a valuable asset to the Nanaimo dinning arena:.
Here are a few facts and factors related to your Friends' chef that we think you'll be
glad to know:

1-  Author of a unique cooking book that addresses home-making of sauces, marinades, jam,
ice-cream, cheese, salad dressings, special dishes .. beer & wine ... and a lot more!

2-  A 4th generation restaurant owner / chef. It's in the blood.  I ran the family business and
helped out at family cafe' and restaurants all my life at one capacity or the other. Many of Friends
recipes are family recipes revisited, tackled and fondled my way.

3-  Global experience including in: Egypt, Lebanon, Greece, Qatar, Romania, Bulgaria, Philipines, Thailand and several
     other European and African cuisines.

4-  A natural aptitude, talent and love for creative cooking.  Despite perusing a career in the scientific arena, and
putting long years in practicing analytical chemistry; during all these years, cooking was more than a hobby, it's a
passion; and even before he obtained the official chef seal, he was appointed to cook for several heads of states at
royal and presidential summits.   Paul was recently flown overseas to cook one dinner for a special heads of state
summit between a king of a very rich state and a top USA official.   Yes, Paul was flown overseas to prepare one
single dinner for heads of States.    It's probabaly the highest appointment any chef could ever dream of and the
highest received by a Canadian chef.  .   He was also recently appointed to instruct culinary art students on
    Eyptian cuisine.

5-  Likely the most qualified chef you'll meet.  Graduated top of the class with A+ at the end of a complete full time
advanced culinary arts programme at the prestigious Pacific Western Institute for Culinary Arts where the top
3 most renowned TV chefs graduated..
.
6-  Completed the following assignments at a graduate-type, post diploma programme at PWICA, involving  nearly
two years of practical kitchen presentations, supported by research papers:

    a)  marriage of Egyptian Mediterranean cuisine to liquor-influenced international gourmet procedures.
    b) adoption of Eastern European kitchen techniques to contemporary Asian cuisine.
    c) modified exotic and unusual entrees; presentations.
    d) South American cuisine presented in a European accent.

7-  Paul is the sole author of Friends menu having had solely created and developed all the recipes; and is the only
    cook
Every meal is cooked by him directly.  There is no other way around it.

The very few times Paul had to be away from the kitchen for personal business, he had to close the restaurant
for a few hours and post a note on the door.  That's what happend when Paul was invited to address future chefs
on Egyptian cuisine and when participated at a food exhibition (or when he took half a day off for my son's
birthday or his son's first day back to school. That's all the disturbance done to business hours, not a frequent
    occrurance )
The nature of the cuisine which employs very special techniques and requires special use of many exotic herbs and
homemade marinades, makes it impossible at this stage to have a substitute cook.

Every Friends dish is truly unique and has its secrets which really cannot be duplicated by someone else at this
stage.  Paul is determined that every single dish shall  be served as if it's the ultimate and the only representation
     of Friends.
