Friends is open at 9 am for breakfast, brunch, lunch and dinner. We open 6 days a week Tuesday to Sunday inclusive, closing only on Mondays. Please check the hours of operation page for more details.

We have a wide variety of dishes, from the common meats; e.g. chicken, pork, lamb & beef - to seafood and vegetarian and the exotic and gourmet cuisine variety. Our most common and most available exotic choices are as wild boar, water buffalo, elk and frogs legs.

The typical meal is presented in a 2-course, 2-platters format with a good variety of veggies and Egyptian al-reef basmati rice.

The meat is served either in a more orthodox, traditional recipe with onions, garlic,prepper and our own sauce, or in different gourmet fashions including Egyptian grill/sauces, Egyptian curry, Egyptian sweet&sour, mango-berries, coffee-honey-wine, chocolate-rum, cappuccino-ouzo, onion-garlic with Egyptian sauce and more.

Friends is a destination restaurant located in a secluded hidden away corner - as opposed to a foot-traffic place, and as such it's very unpredictable here as to when it is busy and when is not. Reservation is often needed and as such it is recommended and actually most of our service is based on reservation, well over 90% - which allows me to know when I need one, two servers or if there is no reservation and no patron present I can let the helper run across the street home to her kid or just serve a patron myself. It is a simple, home-like operation, no tuxedo reception, more like visiting your parents, I'll make your lunch or diner fresh in 10 minutes and serve you. A very causal environment. It the food that is our biggest feature.

Please also feel free to call Paul on his cell before or after business hours for reservations or a question; in fact even for a special late visit to make sure we're still open or can stay open later for you if you're one of our VIPs or a known regular client. We offer smokers a patio and an enclosed separate dining area. We offer the safest smoking choice, the Egyptian water pipe with tar-free (certified 0% tar) pure tobacco leaves .. We even offer a nicotine free smoking experience, yes, a new non-tobacco herbal prodduct certified 0% tar and 0% nicotine., 0% tobacco. This would be like "non-alcoholic beer" in relation to liquor service & regulations. We also have a great deal on good cigars and good selection of cocktails and martinis as well as beer and wine.
