We often offer 2 or 3 course presentation, with such recommendations as: Egyptian chicken, curried chicken, pork Africano, Mediterranean beef steak and even wild boar or buffalo .. served with a number of veggies, cream-coffee mashed potatoes and basamati rice .. and .. desserts, tea & coffee..
And depending on the arrangement, we often also add Egyptian salad with yougort, coffee, imported herbs and fresh salad ingredients. We could also add Mediterranean pasta with a touch of honey, rum and imported spices .. and more!
If you are not familiar with the food, visit us for dinner to see for yourself. We impressed everyone we catered to so far, and they were from all walks of life, from the elite rich professionals to all types of hard-working simple diners who thought they will die eating nothing but potatoes and simple beef for the rest of their lives!
In fact, more than once, in addition to chicken & beef or pork, there was a third bite-size samples of exotic dishes as extra, say frog legs, buffalo, wild boar and more, just as an extra, an interesting bonus.

Oh, and we're are sure you'll be glad to hear us boast and brag about a simple fact .. well, your Friends' chef, the only cook and the one who will be making your party's food, is not just a highly qualified & experienced chef with a top of the class red-seal graduation from most prestigious culinary art institute where the top 3 TV cook shows have graduated;

He has received the highest appointment any chef has received in the history of North America, having been appointed and flown to cook one dinner for two at a Royal summit, a king and secretary of the state. Yes, we're literally taking food good for a king!
And while on a boasting tone; perhaps we could also tell you that we're voted by the top 6 BC food critics as the best Mediterranean food; period. This was not an advertizement, real and impartial food critics who crossified many other fancy large restaurants in the past!
And, the local culinary art school sent their top graduating 10 chefs on an asignment to 12 different restaurants that were reported to have the best food; including Friends. The assessment included different area, food, image, service, decore .. etc. Each of the 10 graduating chefs visited each and all 10 restaurants without announcement and in private, not in consultation with each other. Now, in the area of food, 10 out of 10, all and each one of them separately, voted Fiends as the best, number 1, 10 out of 10. This certainly means something.
We could even tell you that the 5 large local restaurant owners come here almost daily to eat (usuallay pork Africano, beef steak, curried chicken & lamb) before they open for super at their own restaurants, or after they close their restaurants! They serve chicken, pork, lamb and beef on their menus; but they, quitely whisper to me that they wouldn't argue that the fact that ours is better!
In fact, and I hope you'll tolerate this next fact of boasting; on Mondays, my only day off on which I refuse to cook, I sample different restaurants; and last week, the owner of a large & fancy restaurant (who comes often to dine at Friends), came to my table and literally gave a bowing gesture and expressed loudly in the middle of his restaurant that he wouldn't dare claim his food to be as good as Friends.
